About me
I’m a product of the early 90’s, born and raised in Westchester County, NY with current roots in Brooklyn.
Before my professional career, I worked in restaurants for almost 10 years—from delivery driving at a local pizza joint to serving and bartending at Michelin recognized establishments like Boro6 Wine Bar and Blackbelly.
Food has been central to my identity for as long as I can remember—if you walked into my childhood home on any given evening, there’s a chance you’d hear Emeril Lagasse screaming, “BAAM”!
While Food Network shows sparked my initial interest in food and cooking, my passion for global culture and travel was ignited after being introduced to the raw, international programming of Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern.
I was captivated by Tony’s unfiltered commentary and masterful storytelling—the intertwining of food, culture and geopolitics delivered with a self-deprecating and satirical twist; and Andrew Zimmern…if you haven’t seen Bizarre Foods let’s just say he would eat ANYTHING. I aspired to be these men one day.
Unfortunately, my insatiable thirst for international food and travel would have to wait many years until I started my professional career and had my own funds…
This blog represents my quest to quench that insatiable thirst and my curated gift to you, fellow traveller.
"Travel isn't always pretty. It isn't always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that's okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind"
-Anthony Bourdain
